Grilled tuna in a tomato and capers sauce

What you need:

  • 500g of premium tuna (4 beefs of each 2-3 cm)

  • 400g small potatoes

  • 1 can of peeled tomatoes

  • 1 red onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely sliced

  • coriander (powder)

  • 1 dl white wine

  • 75 g of capers

  • 1 red chili, finely chopped

  • parsley, finely chopped

  • Basil leaves, finely chopped

  • olives

  • olive oil

  • butter

  • 1 organic lemon

Method:

Marinate the tuna beefs...

  • Mix into a paste, olive oil, half of the chili, one cloves garlic, little coriander, some parsley, salt, pepper

  • Pat each beef with the mixture and let rest in the fridge for an hour

The sauce...

  • Lightly fry the onion and garlic in olive oil

  • Add white wine

  • Let simmer for 1 min

  • Add peeled tomatoes

  • Add capers

  • Add olives

  • Add basil leaves

  • Season with salt and pepper

  • Let simmer for 30-60 min

Potatoes...

  • Boil the potatoes

  • Drain

  • Add a lump of butter and some parsley into the pot

  • Put a lid on until ready to serve

The tuna beefs

  • Heat up a grill pan until very hot

  • Fry the tuna beefs for 1-2 min on each side

Serve on heated plates with some lemon zest on top
