Gyoza with shrimps and sweet and sour sauce

What you need:

  • 300g fresh shrimps ( peeled and deveined)

  • 1 red chili

  • 1 handful fresh coriander

  • 1 spring onion

  • 2 cm ginger

  • 1 tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 1 lime

  • salt and pepper

  • gyoza dough ( get them in speciality stores )

  • sesame oil

  • sweet and sour sauce



  • In a food mixer...

  • Add shrimps

  • Add ginger

  • Add chili

  • Add spring onion

  • Add oyster sauce

  • Add coriander

  • Add a little lemon juice and some of the zest

  • Season with salt and pepper.

  • Give it a mix until you have an even mixture

  • Add approx. 1 tablespoon shrimp mixture on each a gyaza dough piece.

  • With a finger, brush edges with cold water and fold

  • Press the dough batter and fold the rim like wrinkles.

  • Fry the Gyoza over low heat in sesame oil.

  • Once they have a little color on bottom, add 1/2 dl water.

  • Cover and allow to steam on till all the water has evaporated

  • Serve immediately with sweet and sour sauce dip and a little salad
