Muhammara, a Syrian dip made of grilled red peppers

What you need:

  • 6 red peppers

  • 2 red chili

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • 75 g walnuts

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 2-3 tsp. cumin

  • salt and pepper

  • 1-2 tablespoons pomegranate syrup

  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice

 

Method:

  • Bake the peppers and chili in preheated oven at 225 degrees until peppers get slightly burnt

  • Remove skin and kernels from peppers

  • Remove kernels from chili

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender and season with salt and pepper
