Pheasant prepared in oven

  • 2 pcs. pheasants

  • 2 tbsp acacia honey

  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme

  • 1 tablespoon dried basil

  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano

  • salt and pepper

  • olive oil

Clean pheasants and remove giblets and wing bones. Rub pheasants in oil and season with salt and pepper. Put pheasants in a greased ovenproof dish and cook in the oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes (10 minutes on each side). Take them out and brush them with acacia honey and then rub in the herbs. Roast them further for 10 minutes. Let them rest for 10 minutes before cutting and serving. Serve with potato/celery puree or a mushroom risotto or a red cabbage salad with oranges.
