Seafood dish

Seafood dish

  • 300 g mussels

  • 200g monkfish (or other white fish)

  • 4-6 large shrimps

  • 200g cherry tomatoes

  • 600 g tomato sauce

  • 2 dl white wine

  • 1 fennel

  • 1 onion

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 2 tsp dried basil

  • salt and pepper

  • olive oil

Clean the mussels and discard those not closed. Cut the fish into large chunks and remove the intestine from the shrimps. Cut the fennel finely. Fry the chopped onion, fennel and garlic in olive oil. Pour in the white wine and let simmer. Add the basil, tomatoes and tomato sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes. Fish and shrimps are added to the sauce and boil a few minutes. Then add the mussels and let further simmer another 4-5 minutes. Serve with saffron dip and garlic bread.

 

Safran dip:

  • 1/2 teaspoon saffron

  • 2 dl shun

  • 1 clove garlic

  • salt and pepper

Crush garlic and saffron in a mortar and ad the shun, then stir thoroughly so that the saffron is completely crushed and blended and it's got a beautiful yellow color.
